Watch as a foreigner like me eats one of the most spicy dishes called "ayam geprek. It is smashed chicken and its another popular dish in Indonesia. It's a spicy dish, that people love to eat. I head over to the place where I will try it. I am greeted by my friend, and we order the ayam geprek with mozzarella cheese. Here you can pick up to 5 levels of spicy flavor. I choose level 2 and he chooses level 5. Later our food comes out and it looks really good. Our dish comes with rice and has cucumbers on the side. With extra spicy sauce on the side, which I will not need. We start to try the spicy cheesy chicken and gosh it is extremely spicy. My face turns red and my eyes start to water. I am not used to eating this level of spice. I thought it wouldn't be to spicy, but I was wrong. I look at my friend and he is in the same boat as me. His face is red and I can tell he is suffering from how hot it is. I chase my first bite with tea as the spice kicks. I take a couple more bites, and at this point all I taste is the spicy flavor in my mouth. I cannot even taste the cheese. After that I am less than half way finished and cannot take another bite. My friend finishes his meal and we call it a night.
