Food. It’s what makes basically everyone happy and they say that it’s one of the ways to a woman’s heart. But what about the strange things we’ve seen in the past few years, the food trends that don’t make any sense or the ones that just seem downright disgusting? Well, we’ve compiled a few here that should probably just stay in the past, and if we’re lucky, they’ll do just that. Welcome. This is Weird Food Trends.

11. Bulletproof Coffee
Now, we know how this sounds, but no, you’re not going to wanna go popping off rounds at your coffee cup unless you want a sticky, slimy, oily mess to clean up. This takes Americans love of butter to a whole new level… a whole new disgusting, unhealthy level. Can you imagine brewing your morning coffee, pouring it into a cup, and then proceeding to get a full, healthy scoop of butter and dropping it into your cup? Well, that’s what this is and NO, just please NO, this is sick and needs to stop! While using regular, fatty butter isn’t typically the recommendation for making this “healthy” drink that aids in improving cognitive function and enhancing weight loss, many just go all out and use the same butter they’d put on their toast. MCT oils and grass-fed butters are the recommendations, but it still sounds weird. Oh, butter. That’s really all we have to say.
10. Sketchy Spirits
Just when we all thought that alcohol companies couldn’t find ways to find their products more addicting, we were totally proven wrong. If you’re 21 or older, you may know what we’re talking about when we say “whipped cream-flavored vodka,” or maybe you don’t! Well, different alcohols (usually vodka) have been combined and infused to create these tasty, easy to drink, and addicting flavored spirits, and if you really think about it, it’s just weird! Who came up with the idea to give vodka a bacon flavor? Why can you buy alcohol that has a hint of buttered popcorn flavor? What’s with this obsession for sweetly flavoring something that is meant to have its own taste? People even make their own infusions these days! By the way, every shot of these fun-flavored drinks adds around thirty calories, and all of that comes in the form of sugar. Just remember that the next time you throw back a little cake-flavored vodky.
9. Wheatgrass Shots!
What are we, cows? Does anybody remember back in the mid-2000’s when every smoothie place had an excellent display of some fancy-looking grass and they encouraged people to pay for a shot of it? Did anybody ever try one? It was literally like when you’re a little kid, and you decide to shove a handful of grass in your mouth just to see how it tastes or to look cool. Oh, nobody else did that? Well, if you drank one of these grass shots, you’re just as bad! Yes, they may have some benefits, but in the end, you’re still drinking blended up grass. It’s still decently popular and around today, and there are those who swear by it, but we have to see it for what it is: weird, just weird.
